sorry everyone for the huge gap in between posts, and especially sorry for those who wrote emails and are just now receiving them. things have been a bit hectic. but yeah, sorry.

in the downtime a few interesting things have happened, mainly that FIXED magazine has launched (with our own little advert in there) and the mag looks great. we’ve got some copies in the shop for anyone who wants to check it out and IT’S FREE!! check their site out here.

fixed mag cover

we’ve also got some new bagaboo bags in stock, one with their new camo pattern, a black and pink one, and some other fun colours.

the new IRO off the peg has arrived, looks pretty good, fairly basic parts, but with a nice matte black finish.

oh yeah. and we got some spanners. but we sold them all. they were really nice spanners as well. shame.

that’s about it for the moment. should get some pics up soon. and again, sorry to all those who emailed us and waited for ages for a reply. we’re getting better. slowly.

katana tsunami – £600 frame/fork (£50 extra for chroming, as shown)

iro katana eai and bagaboo

hello there, so on top of our new jackson frames, we just got a bunch of katana framesets in. these look fantastic, really nice colour schemes, nice luscious paint, and a ariety of frame style choices. one style (‘kami’) is 700c, straight top tube, curved (towards bb) seat stays. very nice. another style (‘forgotten dreams’) is 700c front and rear, but the headtube angle and stiraght forks allow for barspins. and then there is the ‘dragon fly’, 650 front, 700 rear, a nice geometry pursuit frame. and what we have now, is really still a sample, sort of a cataogue in objects, so if you don’t like the decals, or want different paint or what have you, these are fully customiseable, all you have to do is let us know what you want. framesets are priced between £600 and £700, depending on the options.

also, we FINALLY got our euro asia order in, so we’re fully stocked in all the most fun colourful, pretty bits that anyone could want. sugnio 75’s in bronze, blue, red, gold, green, purple, black and silver. same colours for most bits, lots of drops, nitto seatposts, all sorts of goodness.  so yeah. swing by.

and on top of that we just got another shipment of iro framesets. many of these have been reserved (so good news for those of you on the waiting list), so the selection of available frames is a bit limited, but we have some, and another order is in the works. if you’re after one of these, get in touch and get on the order book.

and lastly, we’ve got another bagaboo order in the works, some more workhorses, and some of the single strap bags, all in fun colours (can you say camo and pink?). these should be in in about 3-4 weeks, as soon as bagaboo can build them for us.

and i know i still owe some pics of the jackson frames and the vivalo, so we can just add the rest to that. pics up (hopefully) soon. till then.

we would like to welcome bob jackson (w/special guest – vivalo)

Posted in new products with tags , , on April 14, 2008 by cavendishcycles

so, at long last, we have some bob jackson vigorelli framesets in the shop. we got three in stock, and they are making us a few more. we’ve got:

52cm – ivory sold

53cm – champagne

56cm – forest green sold

(yeah odd size differences, but jackson does imperial measurements, go figure). all are 631 reynolds main tubes, drilled for a front brake only and have no bottle or rack braze-ons. £400 frame/fork.

we’ve also got an almost new (or at least immaculate condition) vivalo keirin frameset. it’s so clean w/four very small nicks, one medium scratch to one of the down tube decals (only through the decal, paint beneath is prefect), NO dents and super clean dropouts, only 3 marks on the rear from the wheel nuts. pristine white with blue logos and blue/gey/pink detailing in the cutouts (fork crown/bb shell/seat stay caps). has sugino 75 bb/hatta swan super deluxe headset, both are super smooth. beautiful. measures – 56.5cm c-c top tube/57.5cm c-c seat tube (58.5cm c-t).  sold

i’ll get some pics up as soon as i can, but come by the shop and see ‘em for yourself, they’re all purdy.

Wheels & Heels: The New Season’s Accessories

Columbia Road boutiques to open for one exciting night of high fashion as the East London Flower Market transforms into a catwalk for cycle style as part of London Fashion Week.

On Thursday, 14 February at 6pm, local independent talent and established designers will shine a new light on cycle fashion, with the designs on the catwalk just as at home on the high street as on a bike. Brands on show will include established talent such as Dashing Tweeds and Saville Row’s, Jan Cicmanec, alongside up and coming designers such as Smeear and Archies Gro Bags.

The show, which will feature tricks and bicycle ballet by the likes of Paddy Waters alongside glamorous models on beautiful bikes, choreographed by Robyn Simpson, promises to wow the expected crowd of around 2,000 people including Londons fashion pack.

Emily Fleuriot, Editor of Fashion Monitor says in response to the event:

‘There’s definitely a common misperception that you can’t be stylish and cycle. You can – but it’s a challenge. As one of fashion’s bicycle enthusiasts I welcome all pioneers of functional, style-conscious clothes, which mean I can cycle AND look the part, whether at a hot showbiz party or a business meeting.’

The event is the brain child of Hackney Council and Tower Hamlets Council who aim to achieve a greater uptake of cycling by women by demonstrating how cycling can influence a girls wardrobe in a positively un-lycra but completely runway fashion.

For further information about the designers and the event, please contact Amy Fleuriot, Cyclodelic, on 078 8293 9905 or info@cyclodelic.co.uk or Louisa Clarke, Hackney Council, on 020 8356 8189 or louisa.clarke@hackney.gov.uk.
